Canine Sickness
We have special cleaning products and processes in place to minimise the likelihood of your dog picking up anything while they are at our centre. A well socialised dog will pick up bugs and viruses in the same way children pick up colds etc. at school. We cannot guarantee your dog will not become unwell at some point during their training or socialisation and we accept no liability for sickness or financial loss as a result of canine illness.
Kennel Cough
If you give your dog the Kennel Cough vaccination (which is not a requirement to attend our centre) then please note that your dog will shed the virus and be contagious to other dogs. During this period your dog can infect other healthy dogs and give them an active bout of Kennel Cough. You should therefore isolate your dog and keep your dog away from all other dogs and the centre for a period of up to 2 weeks. We strongly recommend you consider how this isolation period will affect your dog’s training and consider timing the vaccination appropriately.
Kennel cough is highly contagious therefore if you suspect your dog may have kennel cough you must not bring them to school, training or socialisation sessions. Please call us so we can discuss this with you and advise on how best to proceed with your training.
